Strength in Stillness: Learning to Wait on God
Share
Scripture: "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles." — Isaiah 40:31
Reflection: We live in a world that rewards speed. We want answers now, breakthroughs now, healing now. Waiting feels like losing — like nothing is happening, like God has gone quiet.
But Isaiah 40:31 reframes waiting entirely. Waiting on God isn't passive — it's an active posture of trust. And the promise attached to it is extraordinary: renewed strength, soaring like eagles.
The waiting season is not wasted time. It is often where God does His deepest work — building character, deepening faith, and preparing you for what's ahead. The breakthrough is coming. Don't leave the waiting room early.
Application:
- Identify something you've been waiting on God for — write it down and pray over it with fresh expectation
- Practice 5 minutes of intentional stillness today — no phone, no noise, just listening

Prayer: Lord, waiting is hard. But I trust that You are working even when I cannot see it. Renew my strength as I wait on You. Help me to be still and know that You are God — and that Your timing is always perfect. Amen.
